With VcXsrv 1.18.1.1 and 1.17.2.0 I can't resize some gnome 3 gui applications. Examples that can't be resized: gedit 3.14.3, gnome-system-monitor 3.14.1, gnome-font-viewer. gnome-terminal 3.14.3 is resizable however. and so is gnome-character-map. Running VcXsrv on Windows 10 and 7 results in same behavior. Running in multi window mode.

provides partial XRandR extension support, which iirc, does *not* include dynamic resizing of the X server. Paresh, VNC developers have decided not to officially include RandR support for an as yet unexplained reason. The current RandR protocol version is at 1.2. I have patched my VNC server to support *some* of RandR 1.1, including resize capability.

An ext2 filesystem can be resized - as long as the underlying block device can be resized - but not ONLINE. However, as another posting of mine has showed, if the ext2 filesystem is mounted as ext4 then resize2fs will not give an errormessage. Oct 20, 2015 · I’m sorry to know that the resize and move features are event 'grayed-out' and these functions are not available and the programs will only run in ‘maximized’ after upgrading to Windows 10. Sorry for the inconvenience caused and I will be happy to assist you with this.
