The Mamba, my favorite X3:R fighter, flew like a cow with a joystick. In X3:TC my joystick experiment didn't last more than a few minutes, because I had a go with it, then tried the keyboard, then the mouse system for comparison, and found the mouse to be superior.

May 15, 2013 · So I installed Albion Prelude again because they released that controller update and guess what, it's not working. I can start the game from Big Picture and press the A button to continue from the launcher, but once I'm in the game it doesn't work anymore. Neither in the menus nor in the cockpit. Anyone else having this? I'm using an Xbox Wireless Controller with the normal wireless receiver.

The initial in-game trailer is a potent display of X3’s graphics engine, and the most of the game looks equally stellar. The detail of both the planetary systems — Saturn is particularly breathtaking — and the man-made objects found within them are very fine indeed.
