Jan 15, 2018 · Description Besides wl_shell and zxdg_unstable_v6, also support xdg_wm_base, which is the new recommended desktop shell extension for Wayland Motivation and Context wl_shell is effectively deprecated now and zxdg_unstable_v6 was always unstable, as the name indicates. xdg_shell has been stabilized as xdg_wm_base, so we should use it if possible How Has This Been Tested?

Oct 12, 2013 · XBMC Wayland merged for next release Support for wayland compositors is something that Cory Fields and I worked on over the past few months, and it has finally landed in xbmc git master. As of today and by the next release, you’ll be able to use xbmc as a fullscreen application directly on any wayland compositor (gnome-shell, weston, hawaii).
