Feb 13, 2012 · I've got a bunch of things on my home (wired) network. Tuners, AVR's, Squeezebox, ups, xbox 360's, computers. Most of it besides the computers is 100mb. If I turn on jumbo frames on the WHS2011 and my HTPC, will the xbox's function ok (HDTV/Movies)? All the other devices (maybe pulling music from the server?).

Make sure your netgear is a GS108v2 and not a plain GS108, as the older version does *NOT* handle jumbo frames. I have a GS108v2.

So I basically want to transfer some media from my PC to the Playstation 3 over my Gigabit Ethernet network. I noticed my transfer speeds aren't that hot, and I verified that I DO have a Gigabit Ethernet connection on my PC and PS3 and that Jumbo Frames are supported on both the Gigabit Switch (a cheapo Trendnet) and on the PC.
