Mar 26, 2007 · I was using xcopy so that it only copied the file, IF I had made a change. I recently had to change to using UNC paths and now that XCopy doesn't seem to work. I can only get it to work for the users with a straight copy. XCopy works fine on my PC. Just before the copy is executed there is a message that "UNC Paths are not supported"

options noxwait; and try using xcopy instead of copy with the UNC path. Mounting the network to a drive would work too.

Dec 03, 2015 · The real issue is that you put the " in the middle of the path which doesn't work, additionally Command doesn't play nice with UNC Paths so its always better to map a drive temporarily. And finally, if you're on a Windows Vista (or higher) machine .use robocopy instead as it's more robust, has better reporting, better logging, and faster.

Sep 21, 2010 · I haven't heard anything and it is a show stoper for my groups use of SSIS going forward (we're considering SAS which actually does work and has for the last 30 years). When I use a UNC with the flat file connection manager the service account needs full access to the directory path and all files within the directory.
