To my understanding handling of xinclude and xpointer is more a matter of parsing (Xerces for example) than XSLT So you can use the option -xi on Saxon Command line to active xinclude processing (which is handled by Xerces) [[ -xi Apply XInclude processing to all input XML documents (including schema and stylesheet modules as well as source documents).
