First of all there is no possibility to export a .x file from 3ds Max, but there are a lot of quite useful plug-ins for 3ds Max. One of those is KWXPorts. http://www.kwxport.org/ This tool allows you to put the x into 3ds Max. XNA support also the FBX Format as well.
