Yes, Windows XP Pro is capable of software RAID levels 0, 1 or 5. In order to get levels 1 and 5 some modified files have to be installed. I've been using Windows XP Pro with RAID 5 as file server for movies for 6 months now and have had no problems at all.

Re: Windows XP install on T3400 With Raid 1 I'm only guessing, but I suspect you didn't set the machine up for RAID. Even if you have only one drive, but you are using the AHCI interface, it's helpful to have the RAID ROM set up.

I haven't done it with your chipset but the "clue" is that the nForce RAID allows a single-drive striping array to be set up and used, which can be migrated to a mirror using the MediaShield Storage Management in the nVidia Control Panel.
