So, no, a little extra armor pen doesn't make support Zed good. It makes core Zed good. Utility, income independence, or higher reliability would make support Zed good.

Jan 29, 2014 · Zed is much easier to play now that his ult shadow can be used as an escape, i actually find him stronger now since u are safer and he is a strong pick vs pretty much any matchup in lane since even if he gets zoned he can farm with q(i played zed vs fed LB and outfarmed her double just using shadow and q from my tower).

He's just as viable as champions like Akali, Talon or Leblanc. His damage can be great, he farms absurdly fast, and he can jump on carries with ease. But, he can be shut down really easily ...

Aug 05, 2013 · I've played him in every role bar adc (yes he can work support, although it's gimp), and you can use him in the jung, but you need to max your w and e early. Plus, as mentioned before, you need bork or hydra to even get close to semi-decent clear times. It was a much more viable option before his 3.7 nerf, now his rotation is a little worse off.

The QQ about Zed has been going for years, yet riot always keeps Zed relatively viable, because his kit is inherently the most fair for the enemy out of all the AD assassins, it offers the most counterplay. This is where the risk from Zed comes in, picking Zed is a risk in its self for your team.

Toplane Zed has always been more then a farm fest, since if he plays carefully he's ungankable (unless mad towerdives, that might end in his favor since he can juke hard.).

Is support Syndra viable now? ... So, I main Syndra and Xerath. I literally feel like as if I have no counterplay against champs like Akali and Zed that instakill me one screen away.
