Oct 15, 2017 · I am new to zoneminder, having been a BlueIris user for many years. I have IP cams capable of doing audio and video (DLINK DCS 930L cams). These work great in BlueIris, but I was shocked to find that zoneminder does not seem to support audio at all. I know my cams are sending audio, albeit as a separate stream from the video.

An easy way to find these are to search for video encoders or video servers, e.g. 8 channel video encoder, or 2 channel video server. Newer video encoders may also support HD Analog either in addition, or instead of analog streams (how they implement HD analog, depends upon the brand.

Sep 22, 2017 · I'm now interested in a decent outdoor camera with a microphone that people have used with ZoneMinder. I appreciate that audio isn't technically supported in ZM just yet, but supposedly on the master branch of the project there is support for devices that have h264 stream with embedded audio.

Jan 10, 2016 · Being from the UK recording audio is fraught with danger. While thats no reason not to do it in a domestic environment its not best to do in any other environment. Problem is time for phil. We have added many features to zm over the years with some funding support from ourselves. This is continuing but I personally have no need for audio recording.

Video will be recorded as is, without any post-processing in zoneminder. Video characteristics such as bitrate, encoding mode, etc. should be set directly in the camera. Mar 30, 2016 · Some code in there to grab the audio packets, but I don't have a Mic on my camera and even then it is only doing G.711a and G.711mu. Streaming this content via HTML5 video is not supported by any browser so interested what codecs other peoples cameras support.
