Mar 22, 2010 · I recently dropped my 30GB Zune and now the screen says "Contact Support 5". I tried plugging it into the PC but my Zune is undetected. I also hear a sound when I hold the Zune close to my ear. It sounds like someone is changing lines on a typewriter. Is there any possible way for me to fix this problem or is my Zune a lost cause?

Aug 16, 2008 · i have the exact same problem with my 30gb (which i actually sold and am trying to fix for a friend)it charges and goes to the logo screen with no loading bar at the bottom it then blinks to the contact support screen 5 message. do you think its my ribbon cord? should i send the zune in to be fixed or just order the parts and fix it myself?(willing and able!..at the buyers expense of course) :?
