Ya, sorry for late reply. I've confirmed it myself, it's indeed zune HD is playing lossless music files but at slightly lower bitrate as Zune client converts them to Zune HD as the picture shown below. My whole music library I made for Zune takes 26.4 GB while, it takes 22.53GB on Zune. 4.86Gb of 26.4 GB music library is lossy audio files.
