Dec 19, 2012 · Some previous versions of BIOS don't support ACPI, and so the computer might not successfully enter advanced power modes such as sleep or hibernate. ACPI 2.0 standard is required by windows 7 to operate correctly. ACPI 2.0 allows the operating system greater control of the power management function.

I tried enabling ACPI 2.0 support in bios (P5Q-SE, latest version, Windows 8.1, SSD), however it doesn't allow me to boot which I was expecting. I'm currently upgrading to 10, and I am wondering if there is a point in the installation which will allow me to enable it and have windows install/reinstall while supporting the ACPI 2.0. Thanks!
