Mar 06, 2012 · God help Apple (or any Linux distro) if ActiveX is ever allowed on it. ActiveX is the #1 vector for viruses through IE. ActiveX is a horrible technology that exchanges function for security and should've been quashed with IE6. I'm not a huge fan of Flash but that's a better option IMO.

Jun 01, 2012 · If you are trying to access the web server on your Pelco DVR, you're out of luck. ActiveX is IE only. Called Pelco today, actually. No plans to support the iPad natively. And RDP (I.e., terminal services aka remote desktop) won't work, either - can't handle the frame rates needed for the web client or the Pelco Windows app.
