Mar 08, 2017 · ActiveX may be a bit more complicated than simply running it as an x86 Application on Mac because it's a service and a toolset and it's optimized for Windows OS routines exclusively. If virtualization is an option I would pursue it that way.

May 04, 2007 · ActiveX is a Microsoft technology built into IE. MS dropped IE Mac support a couple years ago. There is no IE for Intel Macs and never will be. ActiveX is also one of the biggest security problems IE has. Even if I could get IE on OS X, I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Sep 14, 2006 · Much to my dismay, Internet Explorer is not recognized as ActiveX capable in Parallels. And it's going to be a big pain to reboot via Bootcamp just to enter bills and such. (And just so we don't go down this path, I'v ebeen running QB for Mac, but it's not full featured enough, so I had to go to a Windows or online version).
