don't know about x570 but most ASUS and ASRock AM4 boards as well as some Gigabyte support ECC. boards i have tested are ASUS x370 Prime pro, strix B450-I and ASRock Rack X470D4U, running debian linux. caveat: EDAC ECC reporting is working with 1000 and 2000 series non-APU ryzen, 3000 series EDAC isn't yet in actual 5.2 linux kernel, should be with 5.4

MSI B450 Bazooka plus, 4 SATA ports was running with a 1200 and 2x8GB Kingston 2400 ECC as my home server, recently replaced by ASRock Rack X470D4U (6 +2 SATA ports, BMC with graphic chip on board) AFAIK most of the ASRock and ASUS Boards support ECC

Nov 25, 2019 · Asrock and Asus support ECC on all AM4 boards I believe. MSI doesn't support ECC at all from what I know. Gigabyte only supports ECC on boads with higher layer counts which would include the X470 Gaming 7, and some older boards too like AX370 Gaming 5 and the K7. Some ITX boards might work too. Anyway, it's better to go with Asrock or Asus for ECC.

Ultimately, there are technically 3 things needed for ECC support. CPU support (all AM3+ chips do) BIOS support. Chipset support (990FX and all other AM3+ chipsets support it to my knowledge) In the case of AMD, number 2 is generally the hardest to achieve. AFAIK, ASUS is the only one who actually adds ECC support to the listed specs.

Sep 08, 2017 · About three weeks ago I have purchased a GA-AX370-Gaming K5 board as the product description by the time stated it supports ECC RAM.Since the AMD Ryzen memory controller (which is part of the CPU itself) supports it, it was rational for me to go with something that supports ECC memory for the research workstation I am currently working with.

As expected, ECC support ist listed in the manual. Is there something I missed? Btw., ECC support in "consumer" class hardware was my main motivation to buy AMD (and ASUS) hardware for the past five years and worked as advertised, kudos to AMD, although I'd wish FM1 had that capability, too. I just hope the FM2 platform fixes that issue.

ECC support depends on few things: support in chipset (or CPU in case of AMD systems or newer Intel) support in BIOS; As such, with new systems support should be straight-forward, but it's non-existent in consumer grade boards. On the other hand, workstation and server boards don't usually ship with new chipsets (on which USB 3.0 support is based).
