yes, nvidia still does closed source only, so AMD has better support for Linux and open source. If you buy anything from the RX lineup, you are good to go. Intel graphic chips have significantly less power then AMD or Nvidia, their open source support is better then Nvidia’s but worse then AMD’s.

Jun 16, 2018 · allanitomwesh: I think AMD allows Nvidia to go so far away on the linux department because they have PS4 and XBone so SteamOS+linux isn't a priority for them. Also maybe they are waiting for Mir/Wayland race to finish to see which they would support. In the meantime....go for Nvidia maybe in 20-50 years Amd will catch upReviews: 45
