Nov 30, 2019 · AMD's OpenGL drivers aren't bad exactly it's just that Nvidia's spend more money on it and of course Nvidia fully support all their own OpenGL extentions which a lot of OpenGL games and apps use. AMD have equivalents for many but they're not always supported well by apps.Reviews: 12

Aug 12, 2016 · AMD released a hotfix for the Crimson drivers, 16.8.2, with specific support for No Man's Sky, however, even after installing, OpenGL Extensions Viewer still shows my machine only supporting 4.4 with the Radeon 7870 on the summary page. The details show it supports 100% of the 4.5 features, but only 7% of the ARB 2015 ones.

Dec 12, 2017 · AMD has added some OpenGL 4.6 extensions (GL_ARB_gl_spirv) but not all, so Adrenalin 17.12.1 is still an OpenGL 4.5 driver with OpenGL 4.6 features. This driver exposes 319 OpenGL extensions (GL=294 and WGL=25) for a Radeon RX 470 on Windows 10 64-bit.
