Android Browser: ALL versions of Android come with built-in Ogg Vorbis audio support, but support for the HTML5 tag wasn't added until the "Gingerbread" release (Android 2.3). For some odd reason, Android browser reports that it doesn't support WebM Audio, but it actually does.

Sep 13, 2010 · I was really happy with my Droid purchase, and that was before I found out that the Droid plays .ogg files. When I purchased my music player, I specifically bought one that supports ogg vorbis, the open music format. I ended up with a Cowon D2. Just transferred my ogg files over to the Droid and they're playing now. Sweet.

Feb 08, 2017 · Is there any prospect of Groove supporting Ogg and Flac? It is a nice looking app but no good to me if doesn't support these formats. It's easier to shift my music to a different cloud app than it is to recode everything. Shame really. Groove can only play .flac files if they exist locally on your device.
