Jan 17, 2014 · I'm trying to use my Windows Home Server Restore CD but it does not seem to be able to use the onboard Lan to recover. I really don't want to have to go out and purchase an ethernet card just so I can restore my computer. So I need a server 2003 (WHS V1) driver just for recovery, I'm not even trying to install a server OS on this Motherboard.

Hey I've just installed Windows Server 2003 Enterprise onto a newly built PC with this motherboard, but when I try to install the CDROM Support files it reports with an alert that says "Support files incompatible with WIN... blah blah" (Basically they seem to be only compatible with win7).

Jun 28, 2007 · the intel chipset drivers direct from intel's website have support for windows 2k3. I have built and have had running for about 2 years and server based on the 915chipset with no problems at all the only thing that may not have support would be the onboard lan, but usually the lan card maker will have 2k3 drivers, or sound.

That said, many have been quite successful using hardware that doesn't have Windows Server 2003 drivers, but does have Windows XP drivers.

WHS didn't even find driver the ethernet NIC. (neither did 2003 Server) In my current configuration with 2003 Server, both the hardisk and IDE drivers is signed Microsoft, dated 01.10.2002. I didn't check the status in the WHS setup last week. I've used 5 hours installing Windows 2003 Server so I'll stay with this setup for a few weeks.
