Dec 07, 2010 · I have been trying to find a PCI express scsi card to work with this motherboard and have yet to find one that fits. The board docs say its has PCI-E x16 slots but I have yet to find a card that actually fits in the slots provided. Every card I have tried does not line up with the slots and breaks. unfortinately, Z8PE-D12X is a very old MB model and out of support. probably you are right about uncompatibility: MCX354A-FCBT is PCI-E gen 3 cards, but Z8PE-D12X supports gen 2 as max speed. During PCI-E negotiation, system define maximum speed as PCI-E gen 1.
