Jun 01, 2010 · Hi. I own a ATI 5850. ... Then all of a sudden, ATI releases a driver (think it was 10.2) which they stated "added 120Hz support for windows 7". I got my hands on a copy as fast as I could, but guess what - Yellow lines all over the screen.. So back to my beloved XP I went.. But one month ago, I managed to scale the screen to 8x6 using CCC.

May 12, 2010 · I have asked the store to borrow a ATI 5850 card for test the 120hz workes or not. I got the Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ if some one wounder about that. After install the ATI 10.3 driver the 120hz works right away. But i find out why the 120hz does not work with everyone.

Dec 21, 2009 · so basically ATI's support for 120hz is busted, good to know I just returned my Viewsonic vx2265wm and ordered a Samsung 2233rz and was just about to pull the trigger on a HD 5850 but now I think I'll stick with my 8800GT and wait for the GTX 285 prices to fall below the HD 5850.

Mar 12, 2010 · This happens VERY rarely, but its part of the reason you see ATi cards with outrageous theoretical compute numbers i.e. a 1.2 tflop 4890 is about the speed of a 650-700 gflop gtx275 in real world. If ATi cards were to employ all of their shaders, including the gimpy ones, their combined compute power is pretty amazing.

Jan 15, 2010 · VIZIO 37" 1080p Class Slim LCD 120Hz HDTV got it from Dell out of Canada on sale.. and looks awesome with the 5850 ATI card just finally found the adjustment in the ATI setting to fill the monitor it used to have about an inch around the outside but there is an override (hidden) in the Catalyst drivers to go more then 100 percent. Gaming is awesome!
