May 17, 2009 · The issue you're talking about as far as the HBC, I downgraded my HBC with BootMii installed and it will read my SDHC card but almost every other app I use still won't read my SDHC card. Something about libogc, IOS60/61, I'm not for sure the BootMii folks currently have a fix they're trying but I had to go back to my 2GB SD card.

BootMii installation is a breeze, if you are already capable of running Homebrew. In any case we recommend launching the BootMii Installer through the Homebrew Channel if you are already capable of running homebrew. People who don't have the Homebrew Channel on theirs wii yet can use either the Twilight Hack or BannerBomb to launch our newly designed installer.

For many people, that will be enough. For the intrepid or foolish, HackMii Installer v0.1 can install BootMii Beta 1 on your Wii, either in front of boot2 or as an IOS. We have put a lot of hard work into this software and believe it to be safe, but we have only tested it on 10 Wiis.

BootMii is a modification of boot2, which loads the system menu when booting the Wii.As boot2 is normally not updated through a wii system update (which was proven wrong with the 4.2 update!), this is the best brick protection you can get.

mini must have IPC_SDHC_EXIT support . MIKE won't work properly unless a version of 'mini' with IPC_SDHC_EXIT support is used. Nor the version of mini included in Bootmii beta1 nor the one bundled with Bootmii beta2 support the IPC_SDHC_EXIT call.
