I am only really thinking about this now, I was under the impression that when broadband companies say 100MB what they really mean is 100MB is going into your home and being split amongst all the devices in your house. Should I actually be getting around 100MB/s download speeds on Steam? Or something close to it, or is 1-3 MB normal?

i have an internet problem. i have an att router/modem whatever, with blinking red broadband symbols. the problem is the cable from inside the wall disconnected from the jack we had before. i don’t know what to do, i’ve connected the wires to a CAT 5e voice grade jack and that didn’t work, i did the same thing with a regular CAT 5e jack, still have red broadbands. can someone please help ...
