Dec 17, 2017 · I have a much better understanding of this. Please correct me if I'm wrong. To use a 1TB drive in a S1 DirecTiVo, you'll need an lba48 kernel. They can be found here. These kernels are not only patched for lba48 support, but have other features, like using a larger swap partition if it's patched.
