Jan 05, 2012 · Yes, we are still running windows XP (plan on making the upgrade soon) but before that, I need a touchscreen monitor that will work with XP. Everything I've been reading says that Win7 comes with touchscreen drivers (generic) out of the box, but that with XP most touchscreens will not work.

Mar 06, 2011 · Simply not true, Windows 7 has a generic touch driver and function built in, and although the drivers are needed for the hardware, the touch is set up through windows. The drivers are related to the Hardware and available from the manufacturer of the Touchscreen or your System.
