How do I remove this light fixture support brace? ... Light fixture brackets like that are rated for ceiling fans. That bar is NOT rated for a fan. Even if it were, it's attached with a romex staple which is not sturdy enough. Hanging a fan there would be one way to remove the bar from the ceiling though. =)
