Dec 28, 2013 · Hi, I have just purchased Windows 7 Home Edition (English version) and installed on my PC. When I want to install the Chinese Language pack so that I can at least input and install Chinese programs as my old XP/Vista machines; I notice that "Install/Uninstall Language" option is not available.

You may also be interested in how to use Vistalizator for Windows 7 sp1 to add a language pack to any edition of Windows 7.

Jan 27, 2010 · Did you upgrade windows xp\windows vista to windows 7? As Windows Vista and Windows 7 include support for East Asian characters in the standard installation, it should have worked. However, the procedure explained on Microsoft's support page does not work in 7 for the Japanese font set, as it did with Vista.

Oct 18, 2017 · Windows 7 language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise. The Windows 7 language packs can be installed only from the Optional Updates section in Windows Update.

This is a new Windows 7 "feature". To give Windows XP a Chinese interface I had to purchase a special "Multilingual User Interface" bundle with a new copy of XP Professional. Windows 7 Language Packs are available as free downloads for owners of Ultimate and full licenses of Enterprise.
