As some of you may know, Google Chrome has put some severe limitation on Greasemonkey scripts. Chromium does not support @require, @resource, unsafeWindow, GM_registerMenuCommand, GM_setValue, or GM_getValue.. Without require, I can't find a way to include the jQuery library in Greasemonkey script under Google Chrome.

At the time, I wrote a note within Google that said. Whoa. I just clicked on a Greasemonkey script in the latest dev version of Chrome (4.0.266.0 on Linux).

With Greasemonkey-style @include rules, it is not possible for Chrome to know for certain the domains a script will run on (because google.* can also run on google.evil.com). Because of this, Chrome just tells users that these scripts will run on all domains, which is sometimes scarier than necessary.

Nov 17, 2017 · Just a quick update regarding the bug, it turns out that you can update to Firefox 57 and the old scripts are getting transferred to the new GreaseMonkey, but not all scripts last time I checked. It looks like the GreaseMonkey devs are working hard to get everything working again after the last Firefox update caused this breakage.
