Here is the VMWare KB. It mentions OpenFiler, but the focus is on IET (the same that is used by FreeNAS).

    Aug 23, 2010 · This is where it mostlikely goes wrong, if OpenFiler does not releases the reservation upon the SCSI BUS RESET from Node-B, then Node-B will not be able to bring the Quorum disk online, and will leave no other option than to terminate Cluster Service. The C:\Windows\Cluster\cluster.log file will probably detail more about this.
