May 26, 2015 · We do a similar setup which is already UP and running on a different ESX cluster where the only difference is those ESX nodes are running on VMWare Enterprise License. Successfully put PR reserve on cluster disk 0 from node server1.mydomain.com while it should have failed. Cluster Disk 0 does not support Persistent Reservation. Test failed.

Nov 13, 2012 · Cluster Disk 1 does not support Persistent Reservation The odd thing is that if I ignore the report and create the cluster everything appears to work fine. I can create VM resources and move them between nodes.

Mar 04, 2016 · What is a “Persistent Reservation” (PR)? A PR is a SCSI command which clustering uses to protect a LUN. When a LUN is reserved, no other computers besides the cluster nodes on the SAN can access the disk. In other words, the SCSI-3 PR command prevents other machines from accessing the disk and corrupting the data on the disk.
