Tension only spring elements in ABAQUS , how to do it?

    http://abaqus-users.1086179.n5.nabble.com/Tension-only-spring-elements-in-ABAQUS-how-to-do-it-td5374.html
Tension only spring elements in ABAQUS , how to do it? ... *NO COMPRESSION This should make sure that only tension is permitted in the material - I have only tried this with truss elements rather than springs but I believe it should work. Have a look at section 21.2.2 of the user's manual for more details on this.

Compression only material - Forum - Mecway

    http://mecway.com/forum/discussion/321/compression-only-material
Sergio I was thinking about the compression_only material for calculix. It is defined by two constants: elasticity modulus (compression) and tensile strenght (tension). It's assumed that in compression material is elastic and it is possible to input diferent E values for different temperatures.

HDPE hyperelastic modelling in Abaqus – Thermoplastics ...

    https://polymerfem.com/community/thermoplastics/hdpe-hyperelastic-modelling-in-abaqus/
I have conducted tensile and compression tests and tried to curve fit the combined data (uniaxial) to abaqus hyperelastic models, however, the only stable model is marlow, which does not accept both compression and tenisle data except for trusses, beams, and rebars.
