Comskip can be fine tuned to better detect and cut commercials for each country/region. There is a file called comskip.ini in the comskip directory in the MCEBuddy installation directory (by default C:\Program Files\MCEBuddy2x).

Apr 14, 2018 · Also comskip does still works via TV Recordings but Kodi doesn't support dynamic reloading of the file during in-progress recordings, that would be an additional request. For comskip to work in-progress in the PVR section another Kodi change would be required to properly support http playback of files that grow. Martin

Nov 03, 2017 · Comskip Support Forum • View topic - Comskip does a coredump when non-admin users an ini file. Not sure if that applies here. I also saw that the Openelec version of this addon has the ini file baked in. Not sure if that would help or prevent segmentation fault in thise instance.

I am using WMC on Win7. HDHR3s for tuners. It is cutting large chunks of the beginning. Some shows it does fine but most are missing a large chunk.
