Cylindrical support by selecting surface shaft( tangential (free), radial (fixed) and axial (fixed).. only rotation is allowed. I got some results. If I do the same analysis by LINE BODY method instead of solidshaft, I am not able to constraint the cylindrical support.

Aug 22, 2019 · * cylindrical support - displacement boundary condition analogue for cylindrical surfaces - you may constrain selected motions (in axial, radial or tangential direction) * elastic support - used when simulating elastic foundation - case when support has its own stiffness (like ground)

Hi there, i'm new in ANSYS. I'm trying to export my geometry (a FSAE Pedal) in workbench to Mechanical APDL using a input file with this code /prep7 upgeom, , , Cylindrical Support - ANSYS: ANSYS Software Suite - Eng-Tips

In ANSYS, Frictionless Support provide Support in normal direction to the selected face or edge. The body can not move or rotate or deform in normal direction. But free to move or rotate or rotate in tangential direction.

–Elastic Support : •Applies flexible frictionless support to a face. •Foundation stiffness is the pressure required to produce unit normal deflection of the foundation.
