Datatables does not support this kind of grouping out of the box. But, as in many cases, there is a plugin available. It is called RowsGroup and is located here: Datatables Forums.A live example is also included.. jQuery DataTables only supports COLSPAN or ROWSPAN attributes in table header as long as you have at least one header cell per column. Nov 26, 2013 · Agreed - ColReorder does not support colspan / rowspan at the moment due to the complexities it produces. Splitting cells, joining cells etc would all need to be considered. To be honest, I don't really see this being resolved in the near to medium term future. Sorry.

(haven’t checked #rowspan#) The extension does not work in various instances with #colspan#. As for the header and footer it is only not working when placing a in a cell of the last column
