May 27, 2014 · Deck Height will be 36" tall. Was thinking of using 2x8 for joists 16" OC. Would I need to run 2 beams, one halfway along the joist run and the other towards outer end? Could I beef up to a 2x10 for joists and be good with just one beam out on the end? I am planning on 4 posts evenly spaced across the 25' width but not sure which size beam.
