Jul 04, 2012 · I've been aware for some time that Dell have paid support people roving the public forums. Having just seen one of them here, whoce first action was seemingly to ask a poster to email him with Service Tag and otehr details, it would be useful to have some guidance on their presence.

May 17, 2011 · As a FORMER Dell Server Support tech I can tell you that the Dell service for servers is without peer. The 'Basic' (formerly Bronze) level of support is usually free for the first year of the machine and covers only hardware. The Gold level contracts covered hardware and some software support.
