RE: No battery is detected All laptops come with an internal battery and an adapter for power and recharging. Turn the computer over and look at the place where there is a latch and the input port for the adapter w/ electric plug. That is the battery.

Nov 27, 2008 · This morning when i started my laptop (Vista Home Edition) on AC power, the battery icon (battery with plug) was showing a cross and when i hovered over the icon, it says 'No Battery is detected. When i open the battery meter software, the first tab 'battery status' was showing all controls empty and disabled.

If the adapter fits in loose or is not detected in BIOS and if you have tested another power adapter, replace the dc port - this is the part you would need - http://bit.ly/2q9Cp4k If the adapter is detected fine in BIOS - replace the battery and check.
