Jul 01, 2019 · Four County Service Hubs provide the Direct Support Professional (DDS) Training at no cost to enrollees. The 70 hours of training are divided into two equal parts of 35 hours each to be completed in successive years.
Welcome to the California Department of Developmental Services Direct Support Professional Training portal. The Department has established a competency-based training program that is mandatory for all direct support staff (and administrators who provide direct support) working in licensed community care facilities.

Direct Support Professional Training (DSPT) is provided through 4 regional Service Hubs within local communities. DSPT is free to all DSPs currently working in either the first or second year of their employment at one of the regional center vendored CCFs. You should not be charged a fee for DSPT.
