They state that it is the TV(Sony) and not them and it is to protect the provider from illegally copying channels. Has anyone experienced this ?

Is that the message you’re getting, or does your tv not support HDCP? If it’s the message, try calling your TV manufacturer to see if the HDCP compliant device within the TV is functioning correctly.

May 02, 2012 · Thanks for the info. At this moment I actually don't know if my TV's support HDCP, but would it not be fair to say that my tv's do support it? Because it is working 99% of the time and if I do get the message a reconnect and power reset will fix it. Note: I just checked the manual of my main tv and it does support HDCP
