Dec 06, 2013 · Apple's routers do not use UPnP. They do offer a similar type of feature, which is called NAT-PMP, or NAT Port Mapping Protocol. Open AirPort Utility - Click Manual Setup. Click the Internet icon. Click the NAT tab below the icons. Insure that there is a check mark next to Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol

May 20, 2018 · This is primarily due to the fact that the Apple routers do not support UPnP. As such, you basically have two options for achieving Open NAT: 1) Create a DMZ (Apple calls this a Default Host) for the XBox or 2) Use a non-Apple router that supports UPnP. To get Moderate NAT, you basically only have one choice.

UPnP was from Microsoft, NAT-PMP was developed by Apple. Many routers only support UPnP, Apple routers support NAT-PMP and higher end routers support both. Turning these protocols off may break something. If it does, then you need to make a choice: either live dangerously or setup the necessary port forwarding manually.

Since your airport isn't doing NAT as its in bridge mode and thus not acting as a router it makes no sense to try and enable NAT-PnP on it. You should look into turning on UPnP or NAT-PnP on the router for your network which I assume is the Verizon box, or forward the port yourself to plex.
