Jul 05, 2010 · And, as marv has indicated, this only applies to games that actually support PhysX and ArmA 2 is not one of them. This game will perform its physics calulations on the CPU without using PhysX. Most games that do support PhysX allow you to turn it off, anyway. The only way to really stop PhysX running is to uninstall it.

Jun 13, 2014 · Arma 3 physX are CPU-based physics, so using an Nvidia GPU is irrelevant Only a specific (and optional) part of PhysX called "APEX PhysX" can be accelerated on the GPU; this mostly includes things that enhance visual FX such as extra particles and realistic liquids.

Jul 13, 2011 · The reason I ask this question is because I have purchased a surround sound headset along with a surround sound card and the headset does not work with my copy of ArmA 2, while on the other hand, it works with countless other PC games I have installed on my computer, and several of my Playstation 3 games, Blu-ray movies, DVDs, and XBOX 360 games.

May 04, 2015 · Physics or, PhysX in Arma 3... Hmmm. Driving vehicles use them, crates, oil barrels, water barrels, Greek Pillars, sports balls, sling load, explosive particles. All of those things have physX. So does the man class, and rag-dolls. However, PhysX could use a larger presence. As of current, there is little that catches the eye in terms of physx.

I've read on BI forums that best thing to do is to have it on "Automatic". I tried it and in fact, setting it to GPU had no effect at all.
