Dec 25, 2007 · Tan, PIX/ASA does support GRE but as a pass through, today I am not aware you can terminate GRE tunnel on PIX/ASA . The solution would probably be to terminate the tunnel on another cisco device other than the ASA but let GRE pass through, you could also consider L2L vpn.

Aug 29, 2016 · Your traffic is completely serparated from everyone else inside it's own VRF. No there is no encryption so your relying on the SP to not monitor your traffic but its highly scalable and it does completely separate your traffic from anyone not inside your VRF. Also, with GRE and ASA, its just that the ASA do not support GRE tunnels . Cheers

But I want to know other routers or firewalls support GRE tunneling. ... Is there a reason why you want to use GRE specifically? After all, GRE tunnels are not encrypted so if you're wanting to connect your company to AWS, GRE is definitely not a good idea. ...
