Re: Battlefield 3 PC Controller Support / Aim-Assist. Usually all you have to do is plug the controller in before playing, and let the drivers install. Then boot up the game and it should work.

If this game plays anything like BF2 you're going to get destroyed using a 360 controller. ^That. Using a controller to play against people using a kb/m will put you at a huge disadvantage. Anyway, if you really want to try it, you should use Xpadder. Joy2Key just doesn't work well enough to use for an FPS.

Mar 20, 2012 · Im getting sick of devs not putting support in games. 95% of games out for PC have controller support in, why not just make the support work. Same deal with Mass Effect, ended up buying it on 360 because of no controller support. Its pathetic that a game like that doesnt have it.

Oct 14, 2013 · This -If you have a wireless controller you can also use it, but you need to get a USB plug-in. -And you can also use a PS3 controller but you need the USB charging cable and a program called Motionjoy, you'll also have to find the Dualshock 3 drivers from somewhere on the internet -Or you could get a actual controller meant solely for PC use.

I have some friends that use the Xbox 360 wired control to play Battlefield 3 but their bindings were automatically set in-game. They just had to go in and adjust some of the bindings. Personally I use a PS3 control with the MotioninJoy driver to emulate an Xbox 360 control.

From what I can recall the controller support in BF3 is pretty bad. It works perfectly fine during gameplay, but it doesn't work inside most if not all of the menus, it also doesn't show the console button prompts so I hope you know the controls. It should fully support the controller with no worries.

The PC version does not support a 360 controller at all. You can map some buttons because it picks it up as a generic controller, but QTEs are hardcoded for the keyboard.
