Jan 29, 2010 · AT&T has a Blackberry data plan with unlimited data, and also a Blackberry data with tethering plan with 5G / month. The tethering option doubles the monthly cost - at least in my area. So - if you tether and don't have the tethering plan you are subject to data charges - and I am told they can tell if your data usage is from tethering.

I just pre-ordered my Z10 with Verizon. (goodby Sprint - Hello Verizon). Rep. said mobile hotspot/tethering was included with the data plan - up to 10 devices, I think, and phone plan I selected. He wasn't sure if the tethered Z10 would work as a phone while acting as the modem. Never had that problem with my 9530 tethered to my playbook.
