For switches, MPLS support is more difficult to comment succintly: In general, enterprise Catalysts 3560/3650/3750/3850 do not support MPLS. Metro Ethernet variants of these switches (such as 3750-ME), on the other hand, support MPLS. 6500 and 6800 should generally support MPLS including various features but you must keep an eye on specific supervisors and line cards to be sure.

The support for EIGRP and OSPF between 3560 and 3750 is, to my best knowledge, identical. Be careful, though, about the feature set and/or licenses of your IOS. Full OSPF and EIGRP support is available only with IP SERVICES feature.

[My Cisco guys were not kind enough to steer me away from this :)]. Now I am vetting [on paper] another alternative to this, ME 6524, this one is a bit more expensive than 3750M, but supports a whole lot of functionalities including FRR and TE.
