    Feb 10, 2010 · In the official specification the DIR-655 support the Jumbo Frame feature, but how to enable it??? The second (minor) problem is to Fonera that isn't able to connect to internet, but result connected to DIR-655 with 802,11g but with a a rate of only ONE Mbps!?

    Mar 27, 2008 · I got a response from D-Link Technical Support (Oz) saying that Jumbo Frames support is enabled by default on the DIR-655. Prior to that, I also sent an email directly to the Australian sales team. Sincere thanks to the guy who seemed to have spent some time talking to his product manager to find out an answer for me but I found their final response a bit hard to believe.

    The devices should scale back if Jumbo cannot be passed through the ActionTec. For the DIR-655 speed issue, just double check to verify the D-Link is actually connecting up to the ActionTec with a Gigabit link. Ideally you should not be creating a Double NAT situation, but you should be able to hit 200+Mbps with that router.

    I loaded DD-WRT on the WNDR3700 only to find that it does not support jumbo frames. Read your post, installed a D-Link DGS-1005G GigE switch and had jumbo frames in 5 minutes. It increased my write speeds to the NAS by 30 MBps. Bottom line: If you want jumbo frames, bypass the LAN switch in the WNDR3700 and use an aftermarket switch.

    Nov 18, 2006 · Regarding the Jumbo frames, i read that the switch part in the 655 is supposingly the DGS-2205 equivalent, which supports jumbo frames according to d-link. I read this on a forum, so i can't say for sure that this is true.....
