GIMP doesn't yet support some advanced layer blending options available in Photoshop, hence it does not support this feature in PSD files. The options are: excluding particular channels from blending conditional per-channel blending Hence GIMP should gain these features first, then the PSD plug-in can be patched accordingly.

GIMP does not (yet) support smart objects like in Photoshop (there's an open feature request about it), so the only way they could be imported would be by converting them into something else that GIMP does handle (most likely, a simple "dumb" layer, or a set of layers). I don't know (and have no way of testing) whether GIMP's PSD importer is smart enough to do that, but I suspect it isn't.

Ok, I actually found a PSD file that works, I guess the PSD from PSq are different in coding? Like the above maybe file encrypted to a point, prob to only work with PS? So the PSD do work perse in GIMP. This PSD is working Both on Nixxy, and Kaitlyn.
