Currently, the only sandy bridge (LGA1155) motherboard in existence, that supports VT-d is Intel’s DP67BG. I of course didn’t buy that board and as I’m building a server, I required integrated graphics and P67 doesn’t offer that. Only H67 does. As far as I can tell no H67 motherboard currently in existence has VT-d.

Apr 26, 2013 · After discussing with Intel FAE, it has just officially confirmed to my Asus contact that the VT-D support mentioned on the Intel's own P67/H67 board spec page is a misprint, and will be removed to avoid further misunderstanding. The official support for VT-D begins from Q67 series, and so is vPRO. For your reference.

List of Sandy Bridge LGA1155 H67/P67 motherboards that support VT-d. Since publishing my rant a few days ago, I’ve discovered a few more motherboards which CLAIM to support VT-d (Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed-IO). Of course you need a non-K flavour of Sandy Bridge CPU as well (ie i5-2400, i5-2500, i7-2600).

I recommend you to ask directly the manufacturer whetever the MB you choosed does support it. btw. All newer MSI Boards should have VT-d support. I am using MSI X58 Eclipse SLI and I have VT-d option in BIOS. I also have the same experience with MSI P55-based boards. So I guess all future MSI MBs for Sandy Bridge will support VT-d out-of-box.

Jan 10, 2011 · While my Q9300 has vt-d, my chipset does not, so I'm not missing out on anything. It should come as no surprise that the H67 does not support VT-d, but the P67 does. It also looks like the Q series in the mobile line up does as well. I found this blog post from May 2010 that gives some guidelines to whether or not you "need" VT-d.

Dec 13, 2012 · I decided to start a poll to find out if anyone has Vt-D enabled and working with a CPU that supports Vt-D. Now, before you click enabled, after looking at a "LOT" of Intel CPU's, it seems that the "K" versions do not support Vt-D. With that said, it doesn't matter if you have it enabled or not, it's still disabled.
