Sep 19, 2012 · There are several excellent SFTP server out there for Windows. We routinely use Cerberus FTP Server for FTP, SFTP and FTPS. It's a pleasure to install and maintain and the support is outstanding. It would be nice is IIS supported SFTP some day but I'm not holding my breath.

Apr 26, 2017 · The built-in FTP component from IIS 7.0 installation does not support both SSH File Transfer Protocol(SFTP) and FTP over SSL(FTPS). The new FTP 7.0 service (provided as a separate download) supports FTPS. Currrently SFTP is not supported by any Microsoft products.

Feb 07, 2011 · IIS does not support SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol). If you want to add SFTP support you are going to have to go with a third-party solution like Cerberus FTP Server , JScape, WinSSHD or one of the other SFTP-capable servers listed above.

Mar 27, 2019 · Proceed to Server Roles step and check Web Server (IIS) role. Proceed to Role Services step and check FTP Server > FTP Service role service. Uncheck Web Server role service, if you do not need it. Make sure Management Service > IIS Management Console role service is checked. Proceed to the end of the wizard and click Install.
